A quiet look behind the scenes: short clips from our atelier showing how our leather and ceramic pieces are made — by hand, one step at a time.
Every piece starts on the cutting mat. We mark the pattern and cut the leather by hand with a sharp knife — no machines, no presses.
For our slab-built ceramics, the clay is pressed and rolled into an even sheet by hand, so the walls dry evenly.
The slab is smoothed with a roller and laid over a mould to take its shape — slowly, so the clay doesn't crack.
Patterns are carved into the leather-hard clay by hand, line by line. That's why no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
After the first firing, each piece is glazed by hand and fired again. This is the moment it leaves the kiln.
Pieces made this way can be found in our leather goods and ceramics collections. Want to try it yourself? Join one of our workshops.
